RACE NOTES:
  The Sprints on Dirt series made a rare stop at Kokomo Speedway late in the 1987 season. Kevin Huntley, Tim Norman and Tom Bigelow were among the heat winners. Terry Shepherd took the feature win over Huntley, Stevie Reeves, Bimbo Atkins, and Larry Bland. The SOD champion in 1987 was Mark Mead.
